Why would Mayweather consider MMA?
From being the top of the professional boxing world where the fame, glamour and money is…..
to considering an underground piece of garbage where people just use the armbar to win matches.. OR get them on the ground and hit like cowards…
Seriously what is Mayweather thinking?? MMA doesn’t deserve to have a man of Mayweather’s talent.
If anything… good MMA fighters should be considering move UP to professional boxing… which is the major league of true fighting.
Mixed Armbar Martial Arts – the real name for it.
and the main reason I am attacking MMA is because it will diminish his reputation… not to mention a MASSIVE PAY CUT.
Cmon people if you were in the major league baseball would you ever want to step down to a local league??
He might as well retire from boxing if he is bored with it… and start a coaching career.. or become a boxing promoter like Don King.

The underground piece of garbage is simply your opinion, and Mayweather probably doesn’t think so. It’s a different style of fighting, relax.

Guess you enjoy trying to get a rise out of people. Why do you enjoy a fighting sport with so many rules that you are only allowed to punch, when you could watch the fighting sport with the least amount of rules? Maybe Mayweather wants to see what happens when he faces more complete fighters as opposed to a limited style of fighting.

if you have sparred with takedowns and armbars, you would have more respect for them… that being said… I doubt he will make the move… why would he?… there is noone in boxing right now that can beat him… why not just keep doing what he does best… Plus the money, why take a pay cut… although we all know he doesnt need anymore money…. What i am afraid of is that he makes the switch… where will boxing go from there… if he loses it will be bad for boxing… if he wins it will be bad for boxing…. anyway.. i hope he doesnt… but if he does.. I’ll watch

IF he does switch it will be a mickey mouse fix kinda like rocky balboa v hulk hogan or when Tyson played at wrestling..I hope he has more dignity both for boxing and himself..
If a major boxer made the switch it would be anyone but him a he likes to fight at distance and never liked to mix it up so a match up involving him has got to be phoney

like us, he just wants to prove that good boxing skills will prevail in MMA. it’s not literally boxing vs MMA in the ring.
a good boxer can practice jiu jitsu and kickboxing to add to his arsenal. he might want to try and get it done in one fight then all our doubts would be erased.

i hope he doesnt do it. MMA is highly overrated. its basically a street fight inside a octagon. boxing takes more skill and more strategy than MMA. boxing isnt called the sweet science for nothing.
it would be a disappointment a major downgrade for Mayweather to do that

Some fighters fight for money and fame as you said, and some just love to fight and know they are the best!!
Mayweather knows he would get his ass kicked in the octagon and thats why he will never go!!!

I think everyone is looking at this whole thing wrong. Mayweather is all about making money, and putting his name out there in the MMA crowd, brings in viewers that doesn’t normally watch your typical boxing match. He is at the height of his career and his name is as big as it’s ever been. He has developed so many people in boxing that dislikes him, he has developed the reputation as the bad guy that everyone wants to see lose. And for him to challenge MMA fighters, that is putting more fuel in the fire as far as people that want this guy to get his big mouth beat. It is a great way to promote himself and another style of training for him. I see him fighting maybe 1 no name MMA fighter and returning to boxing with more fans and more enemies that want to see him go down in flames. To me, he is a money making genius.
