Which fight intrigues you more as an MMA fan: GSP/Silva or Silva/Machida?

The Bay SFFL asked:

I can honestly see a Silva/Machida fight in the near future, but I think the size and overall skill difference has been well-established between GSP and Silva…or so I thought. After seeing how natural Silva looks at the light heavy weight division in his two previous fights at the class, as great as St. Pierre’s take down skills are…they wouldn’t be enough to take down, ground and pound, or even submit some one like Silva. Now, back in the day when Silva was still fairly green, he got submitted by two japanese fighters from pride (Chonan and Takase). but he’s in such a different level and league than GSP although he too has evolved. with this case made, a Silva/Machida fight interests me a whole lot more than a david versus goliath fight with St. Pierre and Silva.

Thoughts?

id rather see Silva beat GSP and then fight Machida. but the best fight would be Silva vs machida.

Silva vs Machida would be one of the most boring fights in UFC history. Right after the second fight between Royce Gracie and Ken Shamrock. I know they’re both very skilled and it would be a technical showdown but it would be shitty for the average MMA fan. GSP vs Silva would be much more electric but it may not end well for St. Pierre.

silva/machida is more intriguing. gsp is just way too small for silva. like you said, they’re both great mma fighters that have evovled throughout the years but they are both on different levels. it’s like matching a sugar ray leonard against a ken norton or a lenox lewis.
