Probably being physically fit, metally engaged, but also being humble. Having humiliation. It sounds stupid but out of all the title holders, which one is humble? None. And they lose their title in just a couple of fights. Fighters like Matt Hughes an Ken Shamrock held their title and were humble about it. Now if George St. Pierre loses a fight, he’d be so devestated he would probably put himself down and start losing fights. Of course it’s only my opinion.

To be a great MMA fighter? you need skill, athleticism, heart, and a willingness to give it you 1000%. Just like it would take to be a great anything. whether it be mma, boxing, football, or even carpenter or CPA. you have to be willing to give it your life and it will eventually give you a life. Its an old cliche but its a good one…You get out of life what you put in. And on a side note Leo M. GSP has lost and has come back even better.

Beat the best. It’s as simple as that. It’s not how many fights you have, it’s who you’ve defeated.
