How do you start a fighting tournament? Legally?

Fight Boss asked:

I am starting a fighting league in working with MMA and freestyle arts. It will be divided by weight class, not style. I am going to start it in WA State and can’t seem to find anyone who knows anything about it. Any suggestions on how to get started or where would be fantastic.

Paper work. Get permits, wavers, and official doccumentation such as safety tickets made up. Permits will be needed for each sanctioned fight, Wavers to cover your and your fighters A.S.S.E.S. and you need to make sure you have control over what everyone knows and there past. I would go to down to your city hall or goverment building and as tehre regulations on legal fighting in the state and municipality. They will tell you waht you need and how to pull it off.
