GSP and BJ Penn say Fedor is the best P4P fighter what are your thoughts?
GSP appeared on insideMMA in September and was asked who do you think is the best p4p fighter out of himself, BJ Penn and Anderson Silva is and GSP brought up Fedor’s name.
Watch the video here(you have to watch the majority of the clip)-http://www.mma-core.com/videos/_Inside_MMA_09_20_08?vid=10001718tid=107
BJ Penn has also been open by saying Fedor is the greatest p4p fighter.
I can’t find the direct link but here is a link from MMA fightline interviewing Fedor and making reference about BJ Penn’s comments.
Fight line is one of the most credible sources who normally announces breaking news which is later posted on MMAweekly who is partners with Yahoo Sports.

In addition to praise of those elite athletes Rampage Jackson(said BJ Penn and Fedor are the best p4p fighters), Randy Couture and Noguiera all consider Fedor the best.
Fedor is such a humble fighter and it’s about time he gets his due.
I love how Dana White’s best fighters are praising Fedor when Dana himself said Fedor isnt even a top 5 heavyweight let alone a p4p fighter!
Anderson Silva is getting way to much credit. Yes, he belongs on the p4p list but his only major notable wins against ranked fighters are Henderson, Franklin(2x) and Marquardt.
Look up his record, he has fought just as many nobodies than Fedor has. The only difference is Fedor has beat more previous champions, more ranked opponents and better all around fighters.
-Clowns- Bas Rutten said BJ Penn and Fedor are the best p4p fighters.
In addition to that Bas stated “Fedor has no weakness. I have seen so many fights, and even the best fighters in the world have a flaw in their game but I have yet to find one in Fedor Emelianenko.

who ever does not think Fedor is the best pnd for pnd fighter in the world , must not know much about the sport.
Well BJ penn is for sure on that list , but look at his record he has been beaten , and allot of times he has been beaten do to his own laziness. Fedor , the guy has no losses on his record! He never even won a split decision, and he has never fell off of his game. I think BJ lost that spot, I actually think BJ penn has a better set of skills and natural ability than Fedor , but hard work beats talent , if talent does not work hard.

I think until someone truely defeats Fedor he will always be the #1 p4p fighter in the world. BJ Penn can come close at #2 WHEN he beat GSP but like I said until Fedor loses he will be the number one guy in the world.

The thing is that Fedor is a heavyweight and it is usually taboo to give the p4p crown to a hw.

I agree with them.
And though I’m no great Anderson Silva fan it’s extremely foolish to write him off. He’s right there on Fedor’s heels. No one in the entire sport has ever had a tear of finishing off the level of top competition he has so quickly. It’s a completely unprecedented run.
Beyond that you have to take into consideration Anderson Silva was fighting at 175 in RotR before signing with the UFC. He was a 170lbs fighter for most of his career. That goes a long way in pound for pound discussion.
Fedor is doubtlessly great, and arguably the best, but you needn’t slight Anderson Silva at all for the success he’s having because he’s earned it just as much as Fedor has his.

I would have to agree with GSP and BJ. Fedor is plain and simply the shiznit. He transition game is the best I have seen in MMA and I have basically been watching since the beginning of both Pride FC(R.I.P.) and UFC. What I mean by when I say transition is that he smoothly flows from stand up, to wrestling, to judo, to jui jitsu quicker then any other fighter I have seen like it’s just natural. He just adapts and he exeptional in all of them, and his hands are way under rated.

Fedor is the best in the world. He’s never lost legitimately, I dont think he’s ever even ,lost a round before. He is a monster.
Dana White is full of crap. If Fedor signed for UFC he would start kissing Fedor’s butt. Anderson Silva is a great and entertaining fighter, and he is on a roll, but he has lost 4 fights, and has been submitted. He is not the best, but he is one of the best.
